Job Summary:

The Store In Charge - Inventory Control will oversee all inventory management activities within the store, ensuring that stock levels are effectively maintained, monitored, and optimized. This role involves coordinating with team members to implement inventory best practices, manage stock movements, and ensure the accuracy of inventory records. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine passion for maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory across the store.
Ensure accurate inventory counts through regular stock audits and reconciliations.
Monitor stock levels and promptly place orders to replenish low items.
Team Coordination:-
  • Lead and train store staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and efficiency within the team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall store operations.
Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in inventory management systems.
  • Prepare regular reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and turnover rates for management.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Loss Prevention:
  • Implement and enforce security measures to minimize stock loss and theft.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and investigate any discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Address any inventory-related customer inquiries or concerns efficiently.
Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate inventory processes and propose improvements for greater efficiency.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or management in a retail or warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
